School fundraising and how it is used

I thought it would be good to show you all how we've raised funds for the school in the past and where the monies have been spent, as it's due to the generosity of parents, family, friends and the public that our pupils are able to benefit greatly.

During the 2017/2018 school year, we purchased more games for Maths Club, leaving gifts for PTP members that retired and part-funded the school trips to the panto at a cost of £975, the McTaggart Gymnastics Centre and the nursery summer trip.

So far this year we have purchased items using the last of the grant money from last year and are part-funding the panto trip.

We hope also to be able to provide IT equipment for classrooms now that the WiFi is up and running.

Over the Christmas period, the PTP provided refreshments at the Nativity and Christmas service and as always, we thank you for your kind donations.

We will find out at our next meeting on Thursday 17th January 2019 what funds the staff are requesting and their wish list for next year.

This list will grow as the year goes on, every penny raised goes back to the school so that our children can benefit from it!

I'd also like to remind you about the Easy Fundraising scheme.  If you shop online, you can support the school simply by registering on with Monikie Primary - Angus as your chosen cause.  From this page, you can then be forwarded to thousands of different online stores and when you shop as normal, a percentage will be donated by that company to the school.  It's so easy and you can ask anyone to use it, the more the better!

Many thanks to all that help with fundraising and for donations to the school, we are extremely grateful!
